The Girl Guide organisations are multi-faith and offer fun activities for girls from ages 5 to 25!
The Rainbows and Brownies
The Rainbows and Brownies are very popular and both our groups are currently full. However, if you'd like to be added to the waiting list, please contact Kirsty (details opposite) for a form which can be collected or sent via e-mail.

Recently the Rainbows have been working towards their Adventure 100 badge, celebrating 100 years of guiding by undertaking various challenges. Last terms focus involved Ice Cool activities such as making their own ice cream and building igloos from ice cubes, glacier mints and sugar cubes. They also made a splash at the local swimming pool, completing the Wet and Wild adventure, and everyone certainly looked that by the time they left the pool!
The 34th Kirkcaldy Brownies held a coffee morning in support of the Guide Dogs Association and were visited by one of the dogs!
The Girl Guides
The Girl Guides are part of the country's largest voluntary organisation for girls and young women with over 60,000 members in the UK.
Fife is the 3rd largest county in Girlguiding Scotland and has two residential centers for annual camps.
During 2010, the 20th Kirkcaldy Guides enjoyed many activities starting with the centenary launch of celebrations for 100 years of guiding with a day of activities Fife College.
The Guides have also gained their Campfire Challenge Badge working on various activities throughout the year including campfires, cooking and a bush tucker food trial - much to their disgust. More fun was an evening of weird and wonderful fruit cocktails!
They also had a Halloween party and a swimming outing during the winter months and earlier in the year a funding raising for the Lifeboats.
